We are looking for a world class DESIGN/STAFF ENGINEER I to join our team in University Park, IL. This position delivers new designs, product line extensions and revisions to existing products; revises standard products to advance processes, to lower cost, to improve manufacturability, to ease assembly, and to increase reliability. The position also provides support to all internal and external customers, as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Material Science- Metallurgy, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical, Engineering
Working knowledge of 3D CAD
FPS Certification (within the first year of employment)
Effective communication skills (written, oral and listening).
Ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to define complex problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions/recommendations. Can Interpret an extensive variety of complex technical instructions in mathematical or illustrative form and work with information that is both abstract and variable.
Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science- Metallurgy, Engineering or Business Administration
3 years of related work experience in one of the following:
The Fluid Power industry
Designing equipment that uses pneumatic actuators
New Product Development
Applied Research & Development
Experience with the following
Design for Manufacturability
Design for Assembly
